Paths at Winter Witchcamp Feb 2-6, 2024

Intention
We are the filaments
spinning mycelial healing
in the fungal fabric
of life, death and resilience.

Camp is hybrid this year, with an onsite component and an online component. There are two online path options and three onsite options. There may also be a community path. Stay tuned for more information about that.

Here is a page with biography info and photos of our teachers and ritual arts team, and a beautiful video about our intention.

Feeding the Mycelium of Camp: Ecstatic Ritual and Priestxing — with Yule, Walken and Karin (HYBRID, BOTH ONLINE AND IN-PERSON)

We will travel forward, around, up, and down and all places in between where the mycelium dwell, to craft our camp rituals while learning and experimenting with a myriad of ritual technologies.  Through story we will connect.  Through trance we will gather information for ourselves and our community.  Through ritual drama we will expand our collective experiences. We will explore what it means to participate in ecstatic ritual.

We will work all of this magic and more with both online and in-person participants. This path will also view and craft ritual through the lens of connection, knowing that each of our capacities is different and worthy.  This path of Ritual Arts is also the container in which we will plan and craft our evening rituals for camp.  We invite you to be part of this exciting path to explore priestexing skills and create amazing and impactful rituals for camp.

Elements of Magic — with Jynx and Rae Eden (IN-PERSON ONLY)

With mycelium as our guide, we will embrace our innate childlike wonder to explore magic through the elements of nature – earth, air, fire, water and spirit.

Elements of Magic is a journey through Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Spirit, working with the tools of trance, movement, sound, silence, divination, and more. The intent of this work will help us to build and deepen our relationships with the five sacred elements of life as we open and listen to what they have to teach us.

This path is an invitation into the world of ritual, spellwork, healing, and celebration. With the art of magic, we deepen our vision and focus our will, opening up to know ourselves more deeply and empowering ourselves to act in the world.

Elements of Magic is a foundational or “core” Reclaiming class. This path will be offered in-person at camp and is open and accessible to all ages.

The Embodied Practice of a Justice Witch — with Juniper and Jaguar (HYBRID, BOTH ONLINE AND IN-PERSON)

It is only by thinking about what was once unfathomable that we can see the country as it really is. ~ Jennifer Szalai

More than two million Palestinians and Israelis displaced from their homes. A front-running U. S. presidential candidate under criminal indictment. 279 billion tons of ice melting from Greenland glaciers.

Our countries, our cities, our communities and our world churn in the turbulence of an overdue reckoning. A reckoning with racism. A reckoning with colonialism. A reckoning with capitalism.

The Embodied Practice of a Justice Witch invites us to lean into this reckoning. To not only think about, but to make magic from what is unfathomable. To deepen our capacity to navigate the chaos of political change. To discern, temper, and condition our collective bodymind. To find our edge and practice there.

Welcome Home to Your Sacred Body — with Joan and Pippin (ONLINE ONLY)

Our bodies guide us home. In spite of significant personal growth work, many of us struggle to let go of the lies of systemic oppressions. We shrink, we silence ourselves, we may believe we are not enough.

Rooted in integrative, somatic therapeutic practice, and grounded in magic and mystery, Welcome Home to Your Sacred Body invites us to join in community and heal the wounds caused by the shit, shame, and blame of oppression.

Through the power of trance, listening touch, and direct conversation with the body, we will create a container for exploration and growth, and release recent and ancestral trauma and suffering.

By listening to the body’s wisdom, we find tools for healing, unearth and celebrate our gifts, and move into our place of personal power.

This Path work is grounded by anti-racist principles. A toolkit of resilience practices and healing skills will aid us on our journey.

Our bodies guide us home. As we change ourselves, we change the world.

This Path is ONLINE ONLY, and will meet for 3 hours each day.

This Path is only open to campers 16 years old and older. Exceptions may be made for campers ages 14 and 15, after personal communication with the camper and their parent(s).
