We sing and weave with the scavenging birds and the birds of Rhiannon as they teach us to transform what is dying and make space for what is being born.
Birds of Rhiannon
At the edge of the seen and unseen worlds, where the mirror of ordinary reality has cracked, the Birds of Rhiannon gather with the birds of land, sea, and sky: carrion birds and magpies, songbirds and falcons, the jays who journey with ancient oaks and terns that cross the great seas.
Some sing life into that which has been forgotten; others take apart what is finished and return it to the great cycle of becoming; still others carry away grief, our old names, stories that no longer serve.
Weaving their magic with the magic of the fey, they make space for and midwife what is new: new nests, new songs, new magic, new ways of being.
Allying with the birds of this world and Rhiannon’s birds — whose music is the magic of time-space, of life-death, of dreaming-anew — we step into the liminal and listen for the spells and songs needed now… in these turbulent, messy, heartbreaking, yet sometimes beautiful and powerful times.
Like the great murmurations that move as one body, we come together as witches to sing, grieve, weave our stories, and take flight. We remember the old ways and build new ones to strengthen and restore our relationships to the land, the fae, the creatures, one another in community, and to communities of justice and healing near and far.
