As the World Screams: Knowing the Work of the Witch – online path with BrightFlame and Sam Wise
In this path, we will explore the primal scream that shakes all the worlds. What is raging in the deep places inside of us, fighting to be expressed? How can we join our own screams with the screams of others in a cry of power?
Through a combination of trance, ritual, and off-camera creative work, we will each give voice to our own “scream” through the method and medium that best expresses what we need to express. We will feel into these screams–that may express as art, movement, or other forms rather than as vocal screams–and experience the energy carried within. We will practice supporting others’ energy without absorbing it. We will connect with Star Goddexx as an infinite Creatrix whose boundless Love is big enough to hold all of our screams and the emotions they carry.
Together we will explore ways of connecting to the screams of our communities, our non-human neighbors, and our planet as we raise and shape collective energy. We will explore means of refilling our own energy reserves for this critical work, knowing community will hold the work when we step back. We will join our voices together as a force for change across all the worlds.
The Witch’s Compass – online path with Sophia and James
Loki noticed that the Star Goddexx is distracted.
Our prayers and songs continue. Midwinter witches orient themselves by the reflections in the Curved Dark Mirror of the Star Goddexx.
When Loki cracks the mirror, how do we find our way?
Remember the witch’s compass.
Remember the lessons of the elements that set our directions. These lessons reside within us. Where do you keep/anchor yours? In your left foot? Your right elbow? Next to your heart?
Join Sophia and James as we circumnavigate the witch’s compass. Using the lessons of knowing, daring and will; the discernment of listening into deep Silence.
We witches know that when we engage our deep senses, we have the power to change. We know how to change our consciousness and find our roots again.
Grounded in Love.
Rewilding Our Hearts (& Our Magic) – in-person path with Riyana and Diana Love
In this path, we will deepen into the magic of the earth through the portal of the heart, so that our love of nature can rewild our hearts and our love of magic can enchant our relationship with nature.
We will begin by working with the Goddexx’s black mirror as the black heart of innocence, a feri tool /concept/framing of our most authentic selves that is both the gift of magical practice and a tool for going deeper into magic, meaning, and bringing both into our daily lives and our connection to the natural world.
Through practices that enable us to go “between” and encounter mystery (such as trance, breathwork, chantwork, and divination), we will craft our own unique understandings of the black heart of innocence and cultivate this tool as a tool of presence, openness, transformation, and for healing our broken hearts and the earth. We will connect to the deepest parts of ourselves, the parts of us that have always been here– before we knew the heartbreak of oppression, coercion, masking, patriarchy, racism, environmental degradation, and our own personal sorrows– to experience authenticity, clarity, and aliveness in our relationship to the earth and how we can best be allies to all those that love her / them / it.
From here, we will work with the Black Heart of Innocence as the holy well (source) and sacred flame (kindling) for where we want to go next, what work in the world we most want to do, and how we can more deeply connect to the earth, the wild places we adore, the beloved creatures we share the earth with, one another, and our deepest magic.
undoing and becoming (a queer community path) – in-person path with Cubby and horizon
When was the last time you looked up at the stars and allowed yourself to be in awe? When was the last time you remembered that you were made of stars and allowed yourself the same?
You are brave. Alive in this time, answering to the call of witchery, not able to ignore the deep somatic knowing that your magic is real.
You are a survivor. Wounded by a sick culture and so often a sick family, making your own chosen family, building cultures and magics and relationships that heal and mend.
You are queer. You make art of your queerness, poetry of your gender. Your sexuality and relationship structures are mosaic. Some people think you are the rainbow, but what you truly are is the birthplace of rainbows, the shimmering promise of possibility.
Sex fed by Passion and Power is our lifeforce, but Wisdom and Liberty flow into Love, reminding us that true belonging creates the conditions for healing. Our collective queerness is a spell that can change the world.
This is a path of fierce vulnerability and re-learning who we are together. What would it be like to get to be our messy human selves and still know that we belong? This is a holy risk, loving ourselves and allowing ourselves to experience that love.
This is a path of unlearning and reimagining. We live in a wounded culture whose lies strive to shape us into a conformity our queerness won’t allow. Our bodies are the site of injury but more powerful is the truth that this is where we heal. And more powerful still is the truth that we heal in relationship. This is exactly what empire wants you to forget, so together we reclaim the queer magics of love, connection and interdependence as we co-create the beauty that is our birthright.
This is not the magic of one person, this is a community magic. Come be queer together and let our collective queerness be both the medicine and the witchcraft it was born to be.
Cracked Mirror Magic: Surrender, Protection, and the Work of Love – in-person path with Yule Oyagbemi and Karin
In this path, we will follow Loki’s journey through chaos, longing, and surrender to the deep Love of the Star Goddexx. Together, we will explore what it means to be seen in our truest, most shattered and shining selves—and to let that seeing change us.
Through ritual, trance, storytelling, movement, and spellwork, we will:
- Work with the archetypes of Loki and the Star Goddexx as aspects of ourselves
- Enter the cracks of our own Mirrors to discover hidden power, grief, and brilliance
- Work with left hand magic of protection, binding, and blessing
- Engage in acts of surrender that open us to Love as a force for transformation
- Create spells from our broken pieces and reflect Love back into the world.
This path is for witches who carry big grief, big love, and big desire for change. Come ready to be seen, held, cracked open—and to meet yourself in the shards. Elements of Magic is required.
Kids’ Path – in-person path with Kara Unndis and Jason Scarecrow
Calling ALL Wintery Witchy Kids! We welcome you to camp, we welcome you to Kids Path! Come hang out with other kids at camp!
In the kids path, Kara and Jason are excited to hold space for the younger members of our community, with time out in the great outdoors every day balanced with cozy inside time– always holding this intentional space with flexibility and curiosity. Some possibilities for outside magic include: walking on the frozen lake, making snow structures, hiking in the woods, visiting with the animal residents of Osprey Wilds, working on the labyrinth, trying out the ropes course, etc. The indoor activities include arts and craft-making, ritual invocation planning, reading together, journaling, time in the green room, etc.
We are ready to adapt to the ages, numbers, mobility needs, and personalities of those who show up– not to mention, what the weather is like! We seek to make the path inclusive of the kids’ goals, desires, and interests, based on who shows up. Our only ask is that the kids be potty-trained and come with appropriate cold-winter clothing for our nature-magic explorations.
The kid’s path container is designed to be semi-permeable so that kids and parents can check up on one another as needed, but we also will encourage participation from kiddos for the full amount of path time, so that parents and caretakers who wish to delve into other paths can go as deep as they desire (after all, there’s plenty of time after path to hear all about what mischief we got into).
