Winter Witchcamp COVID Policy (for Feb 2025)

Winter Witchcamp COVID Policy (will evolve as needed)

We continue to live in a COVID-19 pandemic, with additional influenza and RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) burdens that are straining hospital resources.

In Order to Keep Everyone Safer:

Risk Based Decision Making

1 – If you are in a high-risk category or are in regular contact with someone who is, consider attending camp online.

2 – Assessment of risk is a uniquely individual undertaking, and we honor everyone’s bodily autonomy and decision-making process.

Before Deciding to Attend Onsite / in person, we encourage you to:

1 – Be fully vaccinated, including a bivalent booster within 6 months of attending.

2 – Be willing to wear an N95 mask during indoor gatherings (this is optional but subject to change).

3 – Be willing to test the morning Camp begins and possibly during camp and/or for several days prior to camp.

4 – Be willing to stay home and attend virtually if you are experiencing ANY signs of illness, or if you’ve been exposed to COVID in the previous two weeks.

5 – Be willing to leave and go home if you experience any signs of illness.

6 – Agree to conscientious hand cleanliness (frequent hand washing).

Two Weeks Before Camp – “Lay low before you go”

1 – For the two weeks before Camp, please avoid attending large gatherings.

2 – If you must attend a large indoor gathering, be willing to wear an N95 or KN95 mask the whole time.

The Day Camp Begins

1 – Agree to take a rapid COVID test. Take a photo of it and be prepared to show the photo at check-in.

2 – We will have some tests available at Camp, but not enough for everyone. Please plan to test before attending and bring along several tests if you are able.

3 – If you test positive, you agree to attend Camp online (or not attend).

During Camp

1 – If you do not feel well at any point, you agree to inform the medical team, test for COVID and isolate or leave for home immediately.

2 – Anyone with a cough, body aches, fever, chills, sore throat, sinus congestion, changes in taste or smell, and/or GI symptoms must agree to quarantine until they can leave for home.

3 – We will have ample hand washing and sanitizing supplies. There will be some masks and COVID tests available. There will be medical professionals onsite to help with decision-making.

After Camp

Anyone who finds they have contracted COVID or any other infectious disease at Camp agrees to report this to the Registrar.
