2026 Story: Loki & the Star Goddexx

Intention:
In this time of chaos and the clamor for change, Loki breaks the Curved Black Mirror of the Star Goddexx. With flame, joy and truth, we forge the Mirror anew. For to love oneself is to dance at change’s invitation.

Story:

Dear Witches of Winter Witchcamp. Loki has brought us to the crossroads. The Star Goddexx is calling us.

Loki is a genderful, shapeshifting changemaker who loves chaos and hates evil. They have a long held curiosity, bordering on affection, for the beings of Midgard. As Loki has watched empire, modernity, whiteness and greed suck the life from Midgard they have asked themself, “What chaos can be created that will shatter the order that is making these horrors possible?” They knew they couldn’t create this level of disruption on their own. So, as they mused and flew through time and space they thought, “Whom shall I seek to aid me in this quest?” And then they came upon the Star Goddexx: the dusts of whose feet are the hosts of heaven, whose body encircles the Universe*, a Creatrix who created the universe from the Love for xir own reflection.

Loki crafted a plan drawing on their own experience, observations and twisted consciousness. They would create a child with the Star Goddexx who would be so beautiful and so terrible that the humans of Midgard would have no choice but to change course. They knew this was an audacious plan and wondered how they might convince the Star Goddexx to agree to such a thing. What would be the honeyed words and actions that might enthrall xir into such a plot?

Loki shapeshifted into a comet, whirling around and seeking to enchant the Star Goddexx, but nothing they did seemed to break xir attention away from the Mirror. Loki was shocked at the way the Star Goddexx seemed to dwell on the beauty of xir own reflection, apparently oblivious to Loki’s machinations or to the horrors unfolding on Midgard. Loki decided that if the Star Goddexx wouldn’t stop looking at xirself, Loki would shapeshift into an image of the Star Goddexx and trick xir into believing that Loki was xir own irresistible reflection.

The Star Goddexx saw everything Loki was doing and was not fooled. The Star Goddexx locked eyes with Loki. Seemingly for an eternity. Until there was an understanding. From this understanding, a wordless dance evolved between them where all possibility unfolded. Weaving amidst them was their shared desire for each other and for the well-being of Midgard. The Star Goddexx broke Loki open with xir endless, boundless, all-encompassing Love for them and for all of xir children. Loki was overcome and had no choice but to surrender to that Love.

As Loki surrendered they let out a scream from a place so deep inside that it had never been touched by Love or anything else. Their scream shook all the worlds and sent a web of cracks across the Curved Mirror of Black Space. Cracks that had always existed in a Mirror that will never break. The cracks became deep and visible and even darker than the dark Mirror itself. Deep, dark fertile ground. And brighter than the brightest stars. Bright, vibrant life giving fire. As the Mirror cracked, the images of xir Love for them began to multiply. With each crack came more shards, each reflecting back xir Love from a different angle.

As Loki screamed and shrieked the Mirror broke and broke into smaller and smaller shards and the images multiplied exponentially until they fell apart in the Star Goddexx’s embrace. As xe held them, they sobbed and screamed and cried and laughed and changed shape faster and faster until they were every shape that they have ever been and ever will be all at the same time. They were brought down to their pure essence and the Star Goddexx held them, and stroked their hair and kissed their tears. They were both surrounded by an infinite number of images of The Star Goddexx’s infinite Love and between each shard was a brilliant, dark, life giving crack.

Xe whispered to Loki, “Thank you for being exactly you. Thank you for instigating this crossroads. You’ve done what you came to do. Nothing will ever be the same now that the cracks have been revealed. Surrender to this Love now. I’ve got you. You’re mine.”

And the Star Goddexx called to the Witches. The Witches who Love Loki and their kin. The Witches who Love the Star Goddexx in all of xir manifestations. The Star Goddexx calls to the Witches of Winter Witchcamp and says:

Surrender to this Love now. I’ve got you. You’re mine. Gaze at your reflections multiplied. See your reflections in each other’s eyes. See the shadows in the cracks.

You have work to do. The work is Love. Let the work feed you. The Mirror is always whole and always cracked. Pour the Love you see reflected back to you into the deep, dark, bright web of cracks. Dance in the cracks. Get lost in the cracks. Follow your desires into the cracks and make a new way.

When you don’t know what to do – find your desire and follow it. Come back to Love. Always. And when you don’t feel Love, when you can’t find it, come back to my unending Love for you. This Love that took apart this god I’m holding in my arms is the same Love you can access anytime you allow yourself to notice it. My Love for you is your Love for yourself and for each other. You are seeded with the Love that birthed the universe. You must use that Love to make a new future possible. You, the Witches, have the power to direct your will and I’m calling on you to direct your will with Love.
